Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver about 100 meals a day to homebound residents in the Newark area. For numerous reasons these people are not able to prepare a nutritional meal on their own. For many, this lunch time visitor may be the only person they will see that day. Meals on Wheels helps people remain independent in their homes whether they have become frail with age or are recovering from surgery or illness.
